The UBC Department of Surgery Grand Rounds is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
These rounds are typically scheduled on the second Wednesday every month during the academic year (September to June), from 7 am to 8 am, and are held at:

Topic: Nourishing Change: Leveraging Food for Sustainability, Health, and Recovery in Healthcare Settings
Presenter: Andrea MacNeill BSc (Hon), MSc, MD
Bio:
Dr. Andrea MacNeill is a Surgical Oncologist at Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer and a Clinical Associate Professor at the UBC where she specializes in sarcoma and peritoneal malignancies. She is the founder and principal investigator of the UBC Planetary Healthcare Lab, the inaugural Regional Medical Director of Planetary Health for Vancouver Coastal Health, and an executive member of CASCADES, a pan-Canadian knowledge mobilization network dedicated to accelerating the transition to low-carbon, sustainable health systems in Canada. She is currently co-chairing a UBC/Yale-led Lancet Commission in sustainable healthcare.
